Abstract |
H.E. Mr. Teimuraz LEZHAVA, Ambassador of Georgia to Japan, who has deep knowledge and insight into Japanese culture and business practices, and Professor SHIMAZU Naoko, a global historian who has studied Japan from an external perspective, will explore one of Tokyo College’s key research themes, “Japan viewed from the inside and outside.” We invite you to join us for this insightful and engaging discussion. |

H.E. Mr. Teimuraz Lezhava moved to Japan with his family in 1992. After graduating from Waseda University, he joined Kikkoman Corporation, where he was in charge of sales and marketing. After that, he worked as an advisor to both Georgian and Japanese companies, and played an active role as a bridge between the business cultures of the two countries. In 2018, he was appointed as a Counsellor at the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in 2019, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the Georgian Embassy in Japan. Since 2021, he has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and has further deepened the diplomatic relations between Japan and Georgia. |
