Abstract |
In 2021, the British Government announced and put in train a ‘tilt to the Indo-Pacific’ in defence, security, development and foreign policy. How has this fared in 2022, in the face of developments including political turmoil and economic difficulties in the UK, and the consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine? |

Alastair MORGAN served as the Coordinator of the UN 1874 Panel of Experts on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea sanctions from 2019 to 2021. British Ambassador to the DPRK 2015-2018, British Consul-General in Guangzhou from 2010 to 2014, and Director of Trade and Investment at the British Embassy in Beijing from 2007 to 2010. |
