My research and creative interests as an anthropologist, community worker, and artist, are centered on the Philippines in which everyday life is permeated by overseas labor migration. I am currently working on my first book project about how global forces such as historical and contemporary migration have transformed life in my hometown in the Philippines. I also investigate the gendered and racialized labor trajectories of Filipino migrants. Currently, I am the principal investigator for the project titled “Overseas Filipino Workers amid COVID-19.” For more information about my work, please visit https://dadadocot.com.
