島津 直子

歴史家でありながらも、学際的な研究の基盤を持つ。社会科学や人文科学の同類分野だけでなく、科学、工学、医学、創造芸術などと歴史と歴史的方法論がどのように有意義に「対話」できるかを探ることに興味を持っている。私たちは、自分たちが身をおく快適なゾーンの外に出て、新しい考え方に取り組み、さらには根本的な学際性を通じて新しい会話を生み出す必要がある。 「知識と実践」は、私たちがどのようにして知識を創造し、その知識を創造する実践を他の人にどのように伝えるかを探るための基本的な枠組みである。
