現在取り組んでいるテーマは「２０世紀日本の近世観」です。トランスナショナルな観点から、「江戸」という表象を越える、つまり国家主義という枠組みで理解しがたい、近世の様々な現象をめぐる物語の特徴を明らかにしたいと思います。
