博士課程では、現代の様々な言説を分析し、建築教育へのアプローチを理論化しました。過去数十年に亘り西洋文化伝統の人間中心主義に異議を唱え始めている哲学、教育理論、人類学、生物学、文学研究からの視点を取り入れて研究を行ってきた。これらの言説から、フィクションは異なるが両立しうる方法で、人間以外の惑星生物との「脱人間中心主義的」人間関係を想像する思索的な機会として位置づけられていると論じた。
博士課程での研究に加え、カナダとポルトガルにおけるデジタル遺産に関する研究のために研鑽を積んできた。建築遺産のデジタルドキュメンテーション、再建、語りのアプローチを開発する研究活動であるIPTI (Investigation in Patrimony: Tangible and Intangible) を共同設立した。現在の研究活動では、ポルトガルの修道院ネットワークを通じて、カプチン派の「生活形態」の生態学的原則を伝えることに焦点をあてている。
東京カレッジでは、2つの研究背景の橋渡しを続けながら、デジタル技術を駆使した語りの可能性を用いて、「脱人間中心主義的」価値観を反映した過去の生活形態を伝える予定である。日本でのフェローシップは、非西洋的な物語や歴史研究に従事する貴重な機会である。
